Check your diaries, UK advisers
March promises to be a hectic month.
I’m going to be travelling 1,109 miles, visiting eight UK cities, from Edinburgh to London, in just four days. It’s not a sponsored bike ride (even Bradley Wiggins would find that a struggle). No, it’s a roadshow for advisers, organised by AJ Bell, with a simple focus — delivering better client outcomes.
I’m going to be speaking about the cost of investing and ensuring that clients receive value for money. The regulatory expert Rory Percival, formerly with the Financial Conduct authority, will be taking a deep dive into the latest regulations governing financial advice.
AJ Bell’s Kevin Doran will discuss CRPs, or central retirement propositions, and his colleague Charlene Young will explain what’s entailed in switching from one platform to another.
The good news is, there are still a few places available at each of the eight events. Here’s the schedule:
Monday 4th March
0830: EDINBURGH (Sheraton Grand Hotel)
1430: GLASGOW (Blythswood Square hotel)
Tuesday 5th March
0830: MANCHESTER (The Mere Hotel)
1430: LEEDS (Elland Road Stadium)
Wednesday 6th March
0830: BIRMINGHAM (National Conference Centre)
1430: BRISTOL (Engineers’ House)
Thursday 7th March
0830: LONDON (Grange Tower Bridge Hotel)
1430: GATWICK (Copthorne Hotel)

Also, if you haven’t heard, so many advisers expressed disappointment at missing out on The Evidence-Based Adviser in Birmingham on Wednesday 20th March, that we’ve just released some more tickets.
In addition to me, the speakers will be Barry LaValley, joint author of The Life-First Advisor, Abraham Okusanya from Finalytiq, David Swanwick from Dimensional Fund Advisors and Max Tennant from Global Systematic Investors.
This will be an excellent opportunity to listen to and meet some of the prominent movers and shakers in the rapidly changing advice profession. To register, click here.
Please note that, for both the AJ Bell roadshow and The Evidence-Based Adviser, places are now strictly limited, so don’t delay if you’d like to come.
